Amanda Magalhães has stood out both for her ability as a singer and for her compositions. Multitalented, the musician is responsible for the musical production of her work and is the daughter of renowned producer and arranger William Magalhães (Banda Black Rio) - whom she calls her funk, soul and samba guru - and granddaughter of Oberdan Magalhães - one of the best tenor saxophonists that Brazil has ever had -, who founded Banda Black Rio in 1976. She grew up in a musical environment where the influence of black music was intense.

The Album

Entitled FRAGMA, Amanda's album featuring Seu Jorge and Liniker, brought influences from R&B, pop and contemporary music in compositions entirely signed and produced by the artist. The album brought together references from North American black music all the way to the swing of national Brazilian rhythms.
